Guy Pratt

Guy Pratt is a British session bassist, songwriter, actor and comedian from Lambeth, United Kingdom. Born in 1962, he is the son of actor Mike Pratt.

Session work and collaborations

Pratt is best known as a session player. He works with Pink Floyd and has also played with The Orb, All Saints, Icehouse, Madonna, Roxy Music, Michael Jackson and Toy Matinee.

Band projects

He is a member of Transit Kings with Alex Paterson, Jimmy Cauty and Dominic Beken. He is also associated with Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, Icehouse and Solid Gold Chartbusters.

Personal life and other work

In 1996, Pratt marries Gala Wright, the daughter of Richard Wright. In addition to music, he works as an actor and comedian. His one-man music and comedy show, My Bass & Other Animals, debuts at the Edinburgh Festival in 2005.
