Granfalloon

Granfalloon is a group name used for more than one act, including a Detroit band formed in 1987 and a project involving Alex Armstrong and Noah Campbell of FOWL. The Detroit group forms in Detroit and plays progressive pop rock. Its original line-up includes Djeto Juncaj on guitar and vocals, Ernie Douglas on vocals and guitar, Chris Mallires on drums and vocals, and Curtis Settino on bass and vocals.

Detroit progressive pop rock band

The Detroit Granfalloon begins in 1987 and centres on a four-piece line-up built around guitar, bass, drums and shared vocals. Djeto Juncaj, Ernie Douglas, Chris Mallires and Curtis Settino are all listed as founding members of this version of the group. Its sound is described as progressive pop rock.

Recording and concept

The first album associated with the band is Busy, Busy, Busy. It is presented as an interpretation of the Calypsos of Bokonon from Kurt Vonnegut’s Cat’s Craddle.

Other Granfalloon project

Another Granfalloon line-up is described as a collaboration between Alex Armstrong, associated with Gangrene and Blue, and Noah Campbell of FOWL. This project is presented as a separate act from the Detroit band.
