Grandbrothers

Grandbrothers are an electronic instrumental duo from Düsseldorf, Germany, made up of Erol Sarp and Lukas Vogel. Formed in 2011, the group brings together Sarp’s background as a trained jazz pianist and Vogel’s work building synthesizers for Access Music.

Early releases and collaborations

Their first track, “Ezra Was Right,” attracts early support from Gilles Peterson. In 2014, they release a full EP on FILM records, with remixes by Greg Wilson, JD Twitch of Optimo, and Kim Brown. The initial pressing of that release sells out within ten days.

Albums

Their debut album, Dilation, appears in 2015 and is the result of two years of work.
