Grafix is a drum and bass producer from the United Kingdom, born in 1991. He is Josh Jackson, and he is also known for being one half of Fred V & Grafix. He releases music through Grafix Music and has been active in drum and bass for more than a decade.

Career

Grafix builds his work around drum and bass and electronic production, with influences that extend into techno, electronica and indie dance. His productions move between dancefloor-focused tracks and more experimental, atmospheric material. He is known for precise mixdowns and detailed production.

Before concentrating on his solo identity, he works as one half of Fred V & Grafix and releases three collaborative albums with Fred V. His solo material includes tracks such as “Distressed”, “Stutter” and “Acid Generation”, the last of which reaches number one in the Beatport Drum & Bass chart. He also collaborates with Metrik on “Parallel”.

Style and reception

Grafix’s music draws on a broad range of sounds, from techno to indie rock, and combines darker, more experimental elements with liquid, melodic and club-oriented drum and bass.
