Gone Til Winter
Gone Til Winter are a dark melodic power metal group from Manchester, United Kingdom. The band forms over a couple of early years marked by line-up changes and demo recordings, then begins to develop a wider profile in 2007.
Early recordings and airplay
Their demo EP Deconstruct The Season receives radio play in the UK, France and Belgium. Stations carrying the release include BBC Radio 6, Bruce Dickinson, BBC Radio Lancashire, Silk FM, Aligre FM, Radio Metal, European Klassik Rock, Rock Radio Manchester and Overdrive/Radio Aktief. It also draws positive notices from Rocksound and a range of fanzines and online publications across Europe.
Live activity and recording career
During 2008, the band maintains a busy live schedule, including hometown support slots with I-DEF-I, Forever Never and Blaze Bayley. After this period, Gone Til Winter sign to the independent UK label Headroom Records.
Their debut single, Hear Me, is issued in the UK in 2009, followed by a self-titled mini-album later that year. In 2011, they release an album of rare material, after recording acoustic tracks in the studio.
