Glitzy BagHags

Glitzy BagHags are a nine-piece acoustic, all-singing band formed in late 2004. Their music brings together gypsy jazz, pop, cabaret, skiffle and swing, and their performances include audience participation.

Line-up and instrumentation

The group has a wide and unusual instrumental line-up, including saxophone, oboe, clarinet, accordion, flute, violin, ukulele, guitar, snare, hi-hat, double bass, cheesegrater and saucepan. All of the band members also play kazoo.

Activity

By 2005, the band is active across the south-west and beyond, presenting its mix of acoustic songs and comic performance style.
