GIO is a Spanish singer, actor, songwriter and producer from Madrid. He begins his career singing gospel music in choirs in Madrid. He then becomes a member of the mixed group D-ViNe, which reaches the final stages of the TV show Salvemos Eurovision in 2008, competing to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song “I Do You”.

Career

In 2008, GIO signs with AMZ Records after appearing on television and catching the attention of the label’s director, although that recording arrangement does not develop further. He later works as an actor in different shows and writes and produces songs for other artists. In 2011, he is a semifinalist on the television show Destino Eurovision.

Solo work

GIO releases his first solo album, Mentiras, Sexo y Gafas de Sol, in 2011 on Nat Team Media. His work is associated with rap, R&B, Deutschrap, Japanese and trance.
