Ginger Wildheart
Ginger Wildheart is a rock musician from South Shields, United Kingdom, best known as the frontman of The Wildhearts. Born David Walls in 1964, he builds his career around rock and hard rock and is also associated with punk and English rock.
Career
He first comes to prominence with The Wildhearts and remains closely identified with the band. Alongside that work, he records and performs under the name Ginger Wildheart and has a wide range of side projects and collaborations. These include Silver Ginger 5, Super$hit 666, Clam Abuse, Mutation, Hey! Hello!, Ginger and the Scorchers, Ginger Wildheart & The Sinners, The God Damn Whores and The Quireboys.
Collaborations and releases
Ginger also works with Hanoi Rocks singer Michael Monroe on the album Sensory Overdrive. Under his own name, he releases the album 100%, which follows a PledgeMusic campaign that raises nearly £250,000 before recording begins.
