Ginger Snap5

Ginger Snap5 is an electronic music group from Ukraine, originally from Odessa. Its sound combines electro-industrial, trance, synthpop and electronic body music (EBM), and it is associated with ebm, industrial, dark electro and futurepop.

Line-up and background

The project is led by Roman Soroka, also known as romeosoroka, who handles music, lyrics and vocals. Before forming Ginger Snap5, he works on several other projects in alternative rock. In 2004, he turns to electronic dance music and creates Ginger Snap5.

Releases and songs

Ginger Snap5 has tracks such as Feel My Rhythm, Something Wrong With Me, Ginger Girl and Shadow gHost. These songs appear on various compilations around the world. The group releases its first digital single, Break Me Down, and its full-length album Snapped by you in 2013 through the Russian label Skyqode.

Remixes and collaborations

Ginger Snap5 also works as a remix producer. Acts it remixes include TraKKtor, Wynartdage, Klonavenous, Diversant:13, Requiem 4FM, Sleetgrout, Empty and Shadow System, among others.

Activities and labels

The group takes part in Sonic Seducer's Battle of the Bands 2012 and finishes second. In 2015, it signs to Dependent Records.
