Ghost Notes

Ghost Notes is a group from Brisbane active since 2009. The name is used for more than one musical project: one is an instrumental band, and another is a hip-hop production act.

Instrumental band

As a Brisbane instrumental group, Ghost Notes forms in 2009 and plays music that draws on folk, jazz, noise-rock, krautrock, spaghetti-western soundtracks and other experimental styles. The group is also associated with post-rock, although its sound extends beyond that label.

Hip-hop production work

Ghost Notes also works as a hip-hop producer and collaborates with Oh No, Guilty Simpson, M.E.D., Count Bass D, Wildchild and iCON the Mic King, among others. In 2009, this project releases a mixtape of remixes. The first official Ghost Notes-produced album is A Brilliant Soul by Astro.
