Gaffa Tape Sandy

Gaffa Tape Sandy are a garage rock and punk trio from Bury St Edmunds, also associated with Brighton, formed in 2015 by three friends. The group plays fast, loud rock music with a garage-punk edge and is made up of three friends with a shared love of energetic music.

Career

The band builds its reputation through intense live shows and a run of memorable garage-punk and rock songs. Their early release Spring Killing leads to an appearance at Glastonbury Festival. A later single, Beehive, receives support from Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1 as Tip of the Week and is included in NME’s 100 Essential Acts for 2018.

Live activity and support slots

Gaffa Tape Sandy plays support shows with IDLES, Peace, SuperGlu, Bloody Knees and Indoor Pets. They also appear on the festival circuit, including Live At Leeds, Liverpool Sound City, The Great Escape and Latitude Festival, and they make their first international appearance at Waldstock Festival in Germany.
