Fuse ODG is a British musician and singer-songwriter from Tooting, United Kingdom, of Ghanaian descent. Born Nana Richard Abiona, he performs under the stage name Fuse ODG, with the initials ODG coming from the phrase “Off Da Ground”, the family name he uses as his surname.

Music and style

He is best known for Azonto, a song associated with the Afrobeats dance craze of the same name. His work is linked with Afro-pop, hip-hop, R&B, funk and rock, and he becomes known for energetic performances and for conceptual songs such as Umbilical Chord, Bucket Full Of Sunshine and RWANDA.

Recognition

Fuse ODG is the first UK artist and producer to be nominated in two different categories at the Ghana Music Awards.
