Funeral Suits

Funeral Suits are an Irish pop rock group from Dublin, Ireland, active since 2008. The band is a four-piece made up of Brian James, Mik McKeogh, Dar Grant and Greg McCarthy. They develop an alternative rock sound shaped by a shared interest in distorted guitars, pop melody, art rock and electronica.

The group spends much of its early period writing and rehearsing in a disused office space in North County Dublin. During that time, it also appears as a special guest for Franz Ferdinand, Passion Pit, The Maccabees and Local Natives, among others.

Funeral Suits records its debut album with producer Stephen Street, known for work with Blur and The Smiths. The band’s single “All Those Friendly People” is part of that period.
