Full of Hell

Full of Hell is a US grindcore group from Ocean City, United States, active since 2009. The band is based in Ocean City, Maryland and central Pennsylvania, and its line-up includes Brandon Brown, Spencer Hazard, David Bland, Dylan Walker, Sam DiGristine and Gabe Solomon.

Style and sound

Their music draws on grindcore, death metal, metal, noise, powerviolence, sludge metal, industrial and power electronics. Their sound combines 1990s grindcore and metalcore with sludge and noise, and power electronics appears throughout much of their work. They also issue recordings made entirely in that style.

Releases and collaborations

Full of Hell releases two full-length albums on A389 Recordings, Roots of Earth Are Consuming My Home and Rudiments of Mutilation. During that period, the band also releases split EPs with Code Orange Kids, Goldust and Calm the Fire.

The band’s power electronics material appears on the four-part FOH NOISE series, issued as cassette releases on various labels, and on splits with The Guilt Øf... and Psywarfare. In 2014, Full of Hell signs with Profound Lore and records a full-length collaboration album with Merzbow as its first release for the label.

Later work

Full of Hell also collaborates with The Body twice, releases the Amber Mote In The Black Vault 7-inch, a split 7-inch with Nails, several live tapes, and the LP Trumpeting Ecstasy on Profound Lore. The group also issues a split 7-inch with Intensive Care.
