Franky And The Jacks are a London group active since 2011, playing folk and jazz with a sound that also draws on skiffle, swing, rockabilly and folk influences. The line-up is John Beale on violin, trumpet and backing vocals; Franky Doody on guitar and lead vocals; Sax McGuinness on harmonica and backing vocals; and Tom Rosenfeld on double bass and backing vocals.

The group’s music centres on fiddle, harmonica, guitar and double bass, with songs described as balancing dark, caustic words against a driving, danceable rhythm. Their material mixes comedy and tragedy, and the band presents this approach as a call to get audiences dancing.
