Frankie

Frankie is a name used by at least three different recording artists. One is the solo project of musician Franziska Aigner, a cello player who studies at P.A.R.T.S., the school of choreography and dance. She releases her debut EP, Styx, in 2022 and also appears on Okay Kaya’s song Inside of a Plum.

Another Frankie is the Dutch songwriter Frankie Lamberts, who writes sixties-inspired songs. His early releases include the 7-inch singles Als sneeuw voor de zon and Panic Attack. His songwriting is described through comparisons with Boudewijn de Groot, Syd Barrett, Broadcast, Jacco Gardner, Nick Drake and the fuzzy garage sound of The Music Machine.

A third Frankie is a singer and rapper born in Maryland in the 1990s and raised in Salisbury on the US east coast. Her work is presented as songwriting-led pop with a focus on love, emotion and everyday life, and she is described as a performer with a distinctive voice and a carefully shaped vocal style.
