Framing Hanley

Framing Hanley is an alternative rock band from Nashville, active since 2005. The group begins as Embers Fade and changes its name in 2006, taking the new name in dedication to a friend of the band, Ashley Hanley, who has died. It is a five-piece act with a sound associated with alternative rock, rock, post-hardcore, alternative and indie.

Formation and early development

The band forms around Nixon, Chris, Brandon, Tim and Luke. After building a following in Nashville through its live performances, it works with producer Brett Hestla in November 2006, recording two songs that help bring the band to wider attention. Those recordings lead to interest from Jeff Hanson and his label Silent Majority Group.

Albums and label work

Framing Hanley releases its debut album, The Moment, in 2007 on Silent Majority Group. The band follows it with its second album, A Promise To Burn, in 2010.
