Fletcher

Fletcher is an American pop singer and performer from Asbury Park, New Jersey. Her full name is Cari Elise Fletcher, and she uses the single-name stage name FLETCHER. She begins taking vocal lessons at the age of five and later studies at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at New York University after graduating from Wall High School in Wall Township, New Jersey, where she plays women’s volleyball. She takes a year-long leave from NYU to move to Nashville, Tennessee, to focus on music, then completes her degree in 2016. She is based in Los Angeles.

Recording career

Fletcher releases her debut solo single, “War Paint”, in 2015. The following year, “Wasted Youth” reaches number one on Billboard’s Emerging Artist Chart. Her breakthrough comes with “Undrunk”, released in 2019 on her second extended play, You Ruined New York City for Me. The song becomes her first single to enter the Billboard Hot 100 and reaches number one on Spotify’s Viral Chart in the United States. It is also described as the fastest-rising song at pop radio for a new artist since 2014 according to Mediabase. In 2022, she releases her debut album, Girl of My Dreams.
