Fleetwood Bac are a Fleetwood Mac tribute band that forms in the United Kingdom and returns in 2001 with a line-up built around the classic Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood era associated with Rumours. The group focuses on recreating that period of Fleetwood Mac, while also including songs from the Peter Green years and some of Stevie Nicks’ solo material.

Style and repertoire

The show is presented as a theatrical two-hour set with costume changes and an acoustic section. The band aims to reproduce the sound, appearance and onstage chemistry of Fleetwood Mac, and is noted for closely matching the Rumours line-up. It also covers material from the earlier Peter Green era, linking the two main phases of the original band’s history.

Recognition and reception

Fleetwood Bac receive praise from Mick Fleetwood, who gives them his approval, and from Peter Green’s biographer Martin Celmins. Original Fleetwood Mac bassist Bob Brunning also appears with the band on stage on several occasions and praises their performances. They receive positive reviews from The Stage, and are described by The Times as one of the UK’s leading tribute acts alongside The Bootleg Beatles, Bjorn Again and the Counterfeit Stones. The band also has recognition from the official Stevie Nicks website.

Performances

The group tours widely in the UK and Europe and appears at festivals, corporate events, and on television and radio. Their shows include performances for large audiences, including an event for 10,000 people at the H.O.G. festival in St. Tropez, as well as concerts in the Cayman Islands. Fans and supporters include Bob Brunning and Martin Celmins.
