Fizzy Blood

Fizzy Blood are a Leeds-based rock group active since 2014. The band comes together through a shared frustration with office work, and the members first know each other from school in a small Midlands city before later reuniting in Leeds after several years of separate musical activity.

The group plays a mix of indie rock and garage rock, combining retro-influenced riffs with a contemporary songwriting approach. Their sound is described as hard-edged and guitar-led, with an emphasis on live energy.

Early in their career, Fizzy Blood tour the UK twice and earn an invitation to appear at Download Festival. Their debut single, January Sun, is recorded live to tape at Greenmount Studios and first plays on BBC Radio 1.

The band are presented as a four-piece made up of old friends, and their work is positioned as aiming to stand apart from contemporary rock trends.
