Fismoll

Fismoll is the stage name of Arkadiusz Glensk, a Polish singer and songwriter born in 1994. His music is described as melancholic indie folk, with echoes of Icelandic artists such as Ólafur Arnalds and Sigur Rós.

Background

He comes from a family of musicians: his father plays violin and his mother plays cello. As a child, his father notices that he sings best in F-sharp minor, and Glensk adopts the name Fismoll as a reference to that key and as a symbol of what he sees as the purest and most natural form of music.

Releases and performances

Fismoll's debut album, At Glade, is released in 2013. A friend, Jędrzej Guzik, creates the drawings for the album booklet. The single Let's Play Birds becomes the album's lead track. In July 2013, he performs at the Alter Space Open'er Festival in Gdynia, where he is well received by the audience.

Live line-up

He performs with a five-piece team: Kacper Budziszewski on acoustic and electric guitar, Joanna Glensk on cello and vocals, Kristine Harutyunyan on violin, Robert Amirian on bass and vocals, and Jakub Szydło on drums.
