Finch

Finch is an American alternative rock and post-hardcore band from Temecula, United States. The group is active from 1999 to 2016 and is also associated with emo, screamo and alternative rock. Its listed members are Alex Pappas, Derek Doherty, Randy Strohmeyer, Nate Barcalow, Alex Linares, Marc Allen, Drew Marcogliese and Daniel Wonacott.

Career

The band releases the EP Falling Into Place and two full-length albums, What It Is to Burn and Say Hello to Sunshine, before taking a hiatus in 2006. It reforms in 2007 and plays a reunion show at the Glasshouse in Pomona, California. A self-titled EP follows a year later. The group is then in the process of writing a third studio album when it disbands in late 2010.

Later activity

After playing a run of shows marking the tenth anniversary of What It Is to Burn in 2012, Finch signs with Razor & Tie in 2014 and works on a new studio album. That album is titled Back to Oblivion. The band is also listed with Spinefarm Records.
