femtanyl

femtanyl is a Toronto-based Canadian breakcore and digital hardcore group active from 2023, centred on Noelle Stockwood and Juno Callender. Stockwood handles vocals and production, while Callender handles drums and production. The project also includes Skyla Hearsethief as a live member, contributing DJ and design work. It releases music on nvr hapnnd records.

Style and themes

The group works across breakcore, digital hardcore, jungle and hardcore breaks. Its music often draws on depressive or nostalgic themes.

Releases and development

femtanyl debuts in 2023 with the single “S33K H3LP”, followed by several singles later that year. Its first EP, CHASER, arrives in August 2023. The group makes its live debut in January 2024.

The second EP, Reactor, appears in November 2024 and features a collaboration with American rapper Danny Brown. The debut LP, Man Bites Dog, is released in 2026.
