Feedback

Feedback is a Slovenian group founded in Tolmin in 1999. It performs instrumental music that blends rock, blues and jazz, with jazz as the strongest influence in its sound. The group’s line-up consists of Andrej Klavžar on bass, Miloš Leban on organ, Matej Magajne on guitar and Andrej Maver on drums.

The members know each other and have made music together since 1995, when they played under a different name and with different personnel. Before forming Feedback, they mainly played arrangements of older composers and material from different styles, which helped shape the band’s later approach. Feedback develops its music through improvisation and shared experience, and its songs are described as reflecting the members’ own feelings.

The band uses instruments from the 1970s, and this is part of its recorded sound. Under the Feedback name, it plays across Slovenia, especially in clubs and festivals. Notable appearances include Rock Otočec, where it represents young and lesser-known groups, and a jazz and blues festival in Nova Gorica. The group also performs with other bands because of its adaptability.
