Fatman Scoop
Fatman Scoop, born Isaac Freeman III, is a hip hop hype man and radio personality from Manhattan, United States. He is associated with hip hop and is credited on labels including Big Colorado Music Publishing and Fatman Scoop Music.
Career
He is best known for Be Faithful with the Crooklyn Clan, a track that reaches number one in the UK and Ireland and goes top five in Australia. The song becomes a long-running club favourite and takes two years to clear samples from Jay-Z, Black Sheep, Queen Pen, The Beatnuts and Faith Evans; its title comes from the sample of Faith Evans singing.
The follow-up single It Takes Scoop reaches the top 10 in the UK, the top 20 in Ireland and the top 40 in Australia. In 2005, he appears on two hit songs: Mariah Carey’s It’s Like That and Missy Elliott’s Lose Control.
Radio
He also hosts a show on New York City station WQHT-FM, known as Hot 97.
