Falling Up

Falling Up is an American rock group from Oregon, active from 2001 to 2015. The band is associated with Christian rock, alternative rock, rock, alternative and Christian music, and its line-up includes Jessy Ribordy.

Career and sound

The group begins with a hard rock and near nu metal sound, then develops gradually towards prog rock and experimental indie styles. It starts out in 2000 before moving into its main run as a band from 2001.

Recordings and releases

Falling Up records for BEC Recordings and releases five full-length albums there: Crashings, Dawn Escapes, Exit Lights, Captiva and Fangs. Exit Lights is a remix album. The band also releases numerous radio singles and tours extensively.

After a year away, the group returns to the material and ideas it first sets out with and raises money from fans to fund an independent sixth studio album, Your Sparkling Death Cometh. This album is tracked at Casey Crescenzo’s studio in California and is produced by Jessy Ribordy, mixed by Josh Shroy, and engineered with help from Casey Crescenzo and Jeremy Miller.

Later remix work

Falling Up also issues a remix album built around Your Sparkling Death Cometh, titled Mnemos.
