Fallback

Fallback is a metal band formed in 2005 in Fargo, North Dakota. The group has a five-piece line-up and plays a style that is described as emotionally direct and raw, with a sound that combines heavy rhythms, melodic elements and aggressive vocals.

Line-up

The band features Jarrod Simek on lead vocals, Cody Marshall and Tyler Strand on guitars, Dustin Huber on bass and Tessa Breitbach on drums. Simek’s singing ranges from deep, melodic phrasing to harsh growls. Marshall and Strand both move between rhythm and lead playing, while Huber is the band’s current bassist, replacing original member Addison Peck. Breitbach is the current drummer, taking over from original drummer Mike Lund.

Activity and performances

Fallback shares the stage with national acts including Five Finger Death Punch, Hurt, 36 Crazy Fists and FaceCage. The band’s members each bring different influences into the music, contributing to a broad metal sound that sits around nu metal, alternative metal and related alternative and melodic styles.
