Fairview

Fairview is a Canadian indie rock band from Brockville, Canada. It begins in 1999, when three friends — Bob, Trevor and Sean — start writing songs together for fun. The project develops as their playing tightens and the material grows stronger, and the band goes on to become a real live act rather than just an informal idea.

History

The band ends in 2004. By that point, Bob and Grace are the only members left from the original lineup. Over the course of its active years, Fairview tours with No Motiv, the Benjamins and Showoff, among others. It also plays sold-out shows with the Ataris and Dashboard Confessional, and performs at the first show by the Mars Volta.

Members and later activity

After Fairview ends, Bobby and Grace continue making music together in Kiev and Wizard poetry. Trevor becomes an activist and writer in Brooklyn. Grant attends school in Hawaii, and Sean lives in Florida. Adam is also associated with the group.
