Failsafe

Failsafe is a UK punk and alternative rock group from Preston, England. It is active from 2004 and is based in and around Preston. The band’s foundations are laid in 2000, and its current line-up has been together since 2005.

Releases and activity

Failsafe releases two albums: What We Are Today in 2005 and The Truth Is… in 2008. It records a third album, Routines, with producer Dave Eringa, whose credits include Idlewild, Manic Street Preachers and Xcerts. The album is planned for release in the UK and US in spring 2012.

The band receives positive reviews across the UK and Europe, along with major UK festival appearances and national radio and television airplay. It also appears in the UK sitcom The Inbetweeners.

Line-up and related notes

Matthew Cogley is listed as a member of the group. He is the lead singer in the Preston-based line-up described above. The band is also associated with a separate listing for a mainstream rock band from Kansas City formed in late 2007 by Dylan Westlake, but that is a different act.
