Enei is the drum and bass producer Alexey Egorchenkov from Sankt-Peterburg, Russia. He begins making music in 2003 and releases his first record on the Dutch label Fokuz in 2007.

In 2007 he also starts producing dubstep, leading to what is described as the second dubstep vinyl release in Russia. That release includes one solo track and two tracks co-produced with Ka, also known as Implex. His output then continues on major European labels, alongside collaborations with producers from different countries.

Style and DJ sets

Enei’s sets mix older neurofunk and techstep with a more futuristic minimal drum and bass sound. Labels associated with this side of his work include Metalheadz and Critical.

Recognition and play support

His tracks receive play from artists including Nu Tone, Heist, Ed Rush, Sabre, DJ Hype, London Elektricity, Bulletproof, Soul Intent, Utah Jazz and Bailey.
