End of Level Baddie
End of Level Baddie is an indie/alt-punk band based in Brighton. The group forms in 2005 and remains active, with a line-up built around James on vocals and guitar, Joe on drums, Luke on bass, and Dan on keyboards.
History
James, Joe and Luke first meet in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, where they begin performing as a three-piece punk group. Their earliest shows take place in local pubs, and they also play at the Edinburgh Festival. After Joe and James move to Brighton to take university places, the band forms there after they reconnect with Luke and Dan.
Recordings and reception
The band records a first set of limited-release demos in 2006. Those recordings attract a local following and some interest from record labels, but the band is not satisfied with the material and completes a new recording instead.
Style and live work
End of Level Baddie’s music is described as indie/alt-punk, with riffs, hooks and songs about the frustrations and pleasures of modern life. The group also begins plans to tour across the UK.
