Empire Of The Sun
Empire of the Sun are an Australian electronic music duo from Sydney, formed in 2006. The group consists of Nick Littlemore and Luke Steele. Littlemore is also associated with Pnau, while Steele is linked with The Sleepy Jackson.
Recorded output
Their debut album, Walking on a Dream, is released in 2008 and is certified platinum in Australia. It includes the title track, as well as the singles “We Are the People”, “Standing on the Shore” and “Without You”. “Standing on the Shore” is used in the credits for season six of Entourage. The video for “Walking on a Dream” is shot in Shanghai, while the video for “We Are the People” is filmed in Mexico.
Activity and related projects
The group remains active from 2006 to the present. The members also have other projects: Luke Steele tours with members of the live disco band The Swiss, and he has work in progress on a punk rock project called Icon Python and another album with The Sleepy Jackson.
