Emil Brynge is a Swedish singer-songwriter and guitarist. He relocates to London in 2008 after already performing in the UK at gigs and festivals since 2006. His work centres on songs and lyrics shaped by an interest in nature, and he also draws on visual art; one example is a song inspired by Constantin Brancusi’s sculpture Bird in Space.

Brynge’s guitar playing is known for finger-picking, with influences including Nick Drake, Robin Williamson, Bert Jansch and The Incredible String Band. His music sits within folk and acoustic traditions.
