Ella Eyre

Ella Eyre is a British singer-songwriter from London, who grows up in West London and performs in alternative R&B and neo soul, alongside pop and soul. Born Ella McMahon, she trains as a competitive swimmer before turning to music. She studies Performing Arts & Technology at the BRIT School, where she is discovered.

In July 2012, she publishes to Warner/Chappell and then signs a recording deal with Virgin/EMI. She comes to wider attention through guest appearances on Rudimental’s UK number one single Waiting All Night and on Naughty Boy’s Think About It. Her debut EP, Deeper, is released in December 2013.

Eyre’s influences include Hans Zimmer, Etta James, Basement Jaxx and Lauryn Hill. She places second in BBC Sound of 2014, is nominated for the BRIT Critics’ Choice award, and wins Single of the Year for Waiting All Night. Her debut album, Feline, is set for release in August 2015.
