Elimination
Elimination is a heavy metal band from Ipswich, England, formed in 2007. The band is from the United Kingdom and plays thrash metal, heavy metal and UK thrash.
Career
The group releases two EPs in its early years: Welcome to Death Row in 2007 and Nightmare Asylum in 2008. These releases lead to press coverage from magazines, fanzines and websites, and the band promotes them with shows across the UK. It also supports acts including Evile, Gama Bomb, Savage Messiah, Wolf, Cauldron and Criminal.
In 2008 the band signs to Casket Records. Its debut album, Destroyed By Creation, follows in 2009, and its second full-length album, The Blood of Titans, appears in 2011. In 2012 Elimination tours the UK with Triaxis and plays Hammerfest in Wales, a festival associated with Metal Hammer.
Line-up changes
Over time the band undergoes several personnel changes. In 2013 guitarist Dave Spicer leaves and later joins the metal band Sirens in America. Bassist Justin Smith also leaves in 2013 to focus on his other band, Shrine '69. Both play their final show at the Rep on 22 March 2013. The band then begins writing for a third album, although it does so without a bassist at the time. In 2014 guitarist Daz Abbott leaves to join the Norwich-based thrash metal band Shrapnel, and vocalist Neil Stevens becomes the last original member. Elimination then announces a break-up, before Stevens later reforming the band with a new line-up.
Members
The original line-up includes Neil Stevens on vocals, Dave Spicer on guitar, Justin Smith on bass and Will Rowsell on drums. Later members include Sam S. Junior on guitar, James Last on drums, and an unnamed guitarist, bassist and drummer in the reformed line-up. Neil Stevens remains the only continuing member identified in the available information.
