El Cid is a band formed in 2004 by Vince Paixao on bass and Cyrus Fisher on drums. It begins as a two-piece line-up, built around drums and bass, before expanding over time.

Line-up

Keyboard players Kendall Furrow and Daniel Lloyd join the group at different points, sometimes together and sometimes separately. At its largest, El Cid is a five-piece, with two drummers, two keyboardists and a bassist. The additional drummer is Andrew Davis.

Later history

The band breaks up in 2007 and later reforms in 2008 under the name Katamari Deathroll.
