Eisfabrik

Eisfabrik is a group from Hamburg that works as an electronic music project and band. Its line-up centres on Charly Barth-Ricklefs, and its music is identified with electro and synth-pop, with a sound that also moves between dark electro and future pop.

Concept and presentation

The act is built around an overall art concept with integrated characters as its protagonists. Those figures are Dr. Schnee, Frost and Celsius. Visual presentation is an important part of the project, and live shows use lighting effects on stage and on the performers themselves. Performances can also include theatrical elements such as a large robot or yeti entering the stage, snow effects, and the band name shown across the stage in DMX mode.

Recorded output

The debut album When Winter Comes and the single Ice Crystal both achieve voting-chart success, including positions at the DAC and GEWC. A later album, Eisplanet, follows, with the single Maschinen released in advance for clubs.
