Ed209 is the performance name of Edward Davis, a UK breakbeat producer and DJ from London. He works in breakbeat, breaks, nu skool breaks and electro, and is also associated with Shaun’s Radio.

Career

Ed209 begins as a west London breaks producer and DJ, developing from the pirate radio and jungle scene. He starts DJing at the age of 14 and later plays regularly at events including Raindance, Best Of British, Breakbeat Connection, Innovation, Essence of Chi, Trigger and Back To The Old School. He also appears at parties abroad.

He is signed to Hardcore Beats and runs shows on pyrotechnicradio.com and Breaks FM. His productions help build his DJ profile, including “Fight Alone”, which is chosen as the intro track for the Ils Y4k mix CD, and “Infectious”, which is signed to the Freestyler’s Fabric live mix CD.

Collaborations and releases

Ed209 collaborates with Phil Hartnoll of Orbital. He also works on the Hardcore Beats 2 mix CD with label partner Ollywood and MC Fearless. The release is presented as a Hardcore Beats project.
