Ebony Tower

Ebony Tower is a goth and rock project formed in 1996 by guitarist and songwriter Wilson McQueen. The group records and performs material written and composed by McQueen, whose writing is shaped by literary interests as well as rock influences, including the works of Shelley and Lewis Carroll and the music of Led Zeppelin.

The band’s line-up includes classically trained violinist Skye Sheridan, vocalist Zanda King, drummer and synthesiser player Chopper, and bass player Chris Hanby, who has previously achieved chart success with Mattafix and is also an acknowledged bass guitar tutor. Billy Fuller also appears on the EP; he is a member of Strange Sensation, the band fronted by Robert Plant.

Ebony Tower’s EP Dead Planets New Stars is presented as a release that leads into a full-length album of original material. The group is also associated with live performance, with a touring line-up intended to bring its stage presentation to audiences.
