Don Toliver

Don Toliver is a rapper, singer and songwriter from Houston, United States. Born Caleb Zackery Toliver in 1994, he works in hip hop, trap and alternative R&B, and is associated with JACKBOYS and the DnHM (Drugs n Hella Melodies) label.

Early career

Toliver begins releasing music in May 2017 with the collaborative mixtape Playa Familia, made with fellow Houston rapper Yungjosh93. His first solo singles, “I Gotta” and “Diva”, follow later in 2017.

Those releases lead to a signing with Atlantic Records in 2018. He then issues his major-label debut album, Donny Womack, through Atlantic. Around this time, fellow Houston artist Travis Scott invites him to work in Hawaii on material for ASTROWORLD, and Toliver appears on the album’s track “CAN'T SAY”.

Breakthrough and collaborations

Toliver releases “No Idea” in 2019; it later becomes widely used on TikTok and serves as the lead single for his debut studio album Heaven Or Hell. In December 2019, he appears on JACKBOYS, the compilation album by JACKBOYS and Travis Scott, on “Had Enough”, which also features Quavo and Offset. He also appears on “WHAT TO DO?” and on “GANG GANG” with Travis Scott and Luxury Tax.

In January 2020, he features on Eminem’s “No Regrets” from Music to Be Murdered By. The track is produced by D.A. Doman, who recruits Toliver to sing the chorus at short notice.

Studio albums

Heaven Or Hell arrives in March 2020 as his debut studio album, released through Cactus Jack Records and Atlantic Records. It includes guest appearances from Travis Scott, Kaash Paige, Quavo, Offset and Sheck Wes.

In 2021, Toliver begins working on Life of a Don. The project is preceded by “What You Need” and “Drugs N Hella Melodies”, the latter featuring Kali Uchis. In 2023, he announces his third studio album, Love Sick. The album includes “4 Me” with Kali Uchis and “Leave the Club” with Lil Durk and GloRilla. A deluxe edition follows with four additional tracks, including “Luckily I'm Having” with Teezo Touchdown and “Embarrassed” with Travis Scott.

He announces his fourth studio album, Hardstone Psycho, in 2024. Its rollout begins with “Bandit” and “Deep in the Water”.

Other work

In 2025, Toliver releases a collaboration produced by Pharrell Williams for the Louis Vuitton men’s fall 2025 show in Paris, where the song plays at the end of the runway presentation.
