Doctor P is the stage name of Shaun Brockhurst, an English dubstep producer and DJ from the United Kingdom. He also works in drum and bass and electronic music.

Music career

Doctor P is best known for dubstep production and DJ sets, and his track Sweet Shop becomes one of his best-known releases. His work sits within dubstep, electronic, drum and bass and breakbeat, and he is associated with the “wobble” style of the genre.

Other names and projects

Alongside Doctor P, Brockhurst produces drum and bass under several aliases. These include Sounds Destructive, a project he runs with Zachary Kemp, who is later known as Trolley Snatcha; Slum Dogz, made with DJ Swan-E and Krafty MC; and DJ Picto, also called Picto.

Labels and collaborations

He is a co-founder of Circus Records, alongside Flux Pavilion, DJ Swan-E and Earl Falconer. Circus Records is his main label association. Doctor P also releases remixes and original tracks, and he collaborates with a range of artists, including Method Man, Eva Simons and Far East Movement. His remix work includes versions of tracks by Ed Sheeran, DJ Fresh and Dillon Francis.
