Django Django
Django Django is a London-based group active since 2009. The band consists of Vincent Neff on vocals and guitar, David Maclean on drums, Jimmy Dixon on bass and Tommy Grace on keyboards.
The four members meet at Edinburgh College of Art and later form the band in Dalston, London. Maclean is also the brother of John Maclean, the keyboard player in The Beta Band.
The group releases its self-titled debut album in 2012. Its sound combines 1980s pop rhythms with 1960s Beach Boys-style vocal harmonies, and it is also described as folktronica. Django Django’s music sits within alternative dance, art rock, electronic, electronic rock, electronica and indie pop, alongside indie rock and psychedelic and experimental influences.
