DJ Hell

DJ Hell is the pseudonym of Helmut Josef Geier, a German techno DJ and producer from Altenmarkt an der Alz, Germany, also known simply as Hell. Born in 1962, he begins DJing in Munich in 1978 and becomes one of the better known German DJs of the 1990s.

His style is broad and draws on darkwave, goth, Detroit techno and electro, although he is often described as a punk DJ. He is resident at the Ultraschall club in Munich and runs the International Deejay Gigolos label, later known as International Deejay Gigolo Records.

DJ Hell works with a range of artists, including Laurent Garnier, Billie Ray Martin and Mijk Van Dijk.
