Dive

Dive is a Belgian EBM project led by Dirk Ivens. It starts in 1990 and remains active.

Style and background

The project develops from the minimal, menacing electronics associated with early Klinik releases, but with a heavier and more saturated sound. It sits within EBM, electro-industrial and electronic music, and it is described as a highly influential presence in the EBM and electro-industrial scene.

Members and related work

Dirk Ivens is also known as a former frontman of Klinik and Absolute Body Control. His other project, Sonar, works in rhythmic noise and is described as being in the vein of Esplendor Geométrico. Absolute Body Control, his pre-Klinik electropunk project, is reformed with Eric Van Wonterghem of Insekt and Monolith.

The group line-up also includes Ivan Iusco alongside Ivens.
