Dirty Doering

Dirty Doering is the stage name of Velten Doering, a DJ and producer born in Leipzig, Germany, in 1978. He grows up in the Schwarzwald in southern Germany before moving to Berlin, where he becomes closely associated with the city’s club and underground scene.

Early career and Berlin base

He begins DJing in venues including kulturruine, vibration and M1 in Stuttgart. After moving to Berlin, he plays regularly at a number of key clubs and spaces in the city, including BAR25, where he is a resident, as well as Pfefferberg, Watergate, Tresor, Club 103, Arena, Maria and Sternradio. His sound is described as tech house and techno, and he is also associated with afro house, dance, deep house, deep tech and disco.

Performances and festivals

His sets appear at events and venues such as Fusion Festival, Melt! Festival, Studio88 in France, Nadsat in Copenhagen, Fabric in London, Sonar Festival in Spain and Klubbers Day in Madrid.

Record stores, parties and labels

Since June 2004, he runs the record store freizeitglauben with DJ colleague André Gardeja. He also helps to establish the party series labradorbar. In 2006, he founds the label ALLYOUCANBEAT with Housemeister. He later runs the digital label Rauschenbach Music.

Production work

Dirty Doering produces remixes for artists including Housemeister, Oliver Koletzki and Chilly Gonzales. His releases include the track “I Would” on the bar25 label.
