Dino Psaras

Dino Psaras is a British psytrance and psychedelic trance DJ and producer. He starts DJing in 1988, performing at small warehouse parties in the south of England alongside DJs including Carl Cox and playing a broad range of dance music, from acid house to techno.

Early development

In 1992, after travelling in India, he encounters the outdoor underground trance scene and its energy, which changes the direction of his career. He then plays at some of the first underground psychedelic trance parties in London, including A.C.I.D. (a concept in dance), where he performs with Mike Maguire of Juno Reactor.

He begins producing his own music and works with Steve Ronan and Joti Sidhu to form Ayahuasca, described as one of the first psychedelic dance acts.

Projects and releases

Psaras works as one third of Cydonia, alongside Viper, Tripster, Cydonia, Phreaky and Krome Angels. The group completes its debut album Haunted World on Blueroom. He later brings out his debut solo album Lick It on Oktava Records, a release made up of nine full-on tracks written and produced in his Brighton studio.

He also releases tracks under the name Bullet Proof with Richard Kegg, Iain Rive and Razak Helalat, including a remix of Marilyn Manson’s cover of Tainted Love.

DJ career

Psaras performs and plays live sets at clubs and festivals around the world, including in London, New York, Paris, Tokyo, South Africa, South America, Australia, New Zealand and across Europe. His appearances at the Samothraki Dance Festival dancefloor lead to the release of Lick It. He is associated with the techno-trance scene and is known for extensive international touring.
