Diascorium

Diascorium are a technical death metal, black metal and extreme metal band from Leeds. Their sound also includes occasional elements of grind, doom, thrash and slam.

Formation and line-up

Bond, formerly of Morkret, and Paul, formerly of Reth, Narcosis, Tangaroa and Canvas, start writing songs in December 2009. Gaz, formerly of Citadel and a member of A Forest Of Stars, and Bernard, a member of Revokation, join in February 2010. The group describes itself as made up of experienced musicians with a long background in recording and performing.

Recordings

The first EP, Abstractions of the Absolute, receives more than 60,000 free downloads from various places. The second recording appears on the Split Roast release on Condate Records. The band also plans to record a full album in 2012.

Live activity

Diascorium play their first gig in May 2010, supporting Desecration. They go on to share bills with touring acts including Origin, Leng Tch'e, Psycroptic, 1349, Keelhaul, Knut, The Ocean, Magrudergrind, Bloody Phoenix, Prostitute Disfigurement and Warbringer. They also appear at all-dayer and festival events, including Damnation Festival 2010, and play alongside UK metal bands such as Wodensthrone, Winterfylleth, Ingested, Desecration, Man Must Die and Astrohenge.
