Deniz Koyu is a Turkish-German DJ and electronic dance music producer from Bochum, Türkiye, born in 1985. He works mainly in progressive house and electro house, and is also associated with EDM and electro house.

Career and style

Koyu, born Deniz Akcakoyunlu, begins making electronic dance music relatively late, at the age of 18. Before that, he listens mainly to pop music and indie pop. His later work is shaped by influences including Daft Punk, disco house, progressive house and electro house.

Recognition

His music receives support from several major DJs, including Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto, Dada Life and Fedde Le Grand. MTV names him an EDM artist to watch in 2012.
