Demonise is a duo formed by Dennis Biesmans and Simon Pritchard. Biesmans plays beats and bass guitars, while Pritchard provides vocals and guitars.

Background

The pair first play together in Cassidy, which later becomes Bukowski. In that earlier line-up they record several well received EPs and perform at venues including Paradiso and Melkweg.

Biesmans later leaves Bukowski to join The Jack Stafford Foundation and Rob Klerkx, who has worked with Supersub and Moke. During that period he begins building a home studio and learns to make his own recordings.

Formation and style

When Biesmans develops electronic compositions that he feels would benefit from vocals, he approaches Pritchard. Their renewed collaboration leads to the formation of Demonise.

Their music combines electronic beats, funky guitars and catchy vocals, with Biesmans’ production work paired with Pritchard’s singing and songwriting.

Output

The group’s first results appear as recorded material, and they also plan a full-length album and a live show.
