Delirium Tremens
Delirium Tremens is a German thrash metal group from Germany, active since 1996. The band forms around Christian Lindner on vocals, Christian Brehm on guitars and Ralf Enskat on bass. The original line-up also includes Andreas Vonmetz on guitars and Roberto Schmitt on drums, both of whom leave the band in 1996/97.
Releases and line-up changes
After several line-up changes, Delirium Tremens releases its debut album, Violent Mosh Ground. Schmitt leaves and is replaced by Andreas Schley, while Vonmetz leaves and Patrick Weinstein joins on guitar in 1999. The debut is described as combining 1980s-influenced German thrash metal with progressive groove in the riffing. The band then works on a follow-up album, Thrashing Warthogs, which appears in 2004.
Further changes follow, with Schley departing and Jochen Steger, who is also associated with Absorb, Dryrot and Cronos Titan, taking his place. Delirium Tremens later self-releases the EP Drink, Kill, Fuck, Die - The Rock'n'Roll in 2006 after problems with its label, and this leads to a signing with Merciless Records for later releases.
